John Barney Hayworth was born on April 21, 1868 at High Point, Guilford County, NC. He died December 5, 1936 at Lexington. We are told that he was Chief of Police for Lexington in 1907.
On about 1882, in Lexington, he married Mary Elizabeth Clinard, born March 28, 1867 in Welcome, Davidson County, NC. she died on July 2, 1922, Lexington.
They had three daughters:
Myrtle Ira Hayworth, born July 28, 1883.
Victoria J. Hayworth, born August 19, 1886.
Cynthia Elizabeth Hayworth, born January 29, 1889 and died March 7, 1954. On December 12, 1916. she married Samuel Ross Wagner. Click here, to see her family.
