These pictures were taken on May 1, 2009.  George and Sarah (Scarborough) Haworth attended this Meeting.

Note: In 1705, the Buckingham Meeting was actually part of the Falls Meeting, where George and Sarah were married.

A very special "thank you" to Kelly Knox for these pictures.  She writes: "I was very excited about being able to make the visit. I hope the other cousins at the reunion are similarly excited about getting to see the 1705 marker and surrounding area".

An Update

The Haworth Association planted a native Willow Oak in the burial ground at Buckingham Friends Meeting in Bucks County, PA in memory of George “the immigrant” and Sarah (Scarborough) Haworth. They were founding members of this Quaker Meeting in the early 1700’s.  Sarah is buried there, George probably is also.  In those days, Quakers did not use headstones  as they were considered too worldly.  So we are remembering them with a tree as part of our 2022 Haworth Reunion there.  A granite plague will also be added at the tree.
