Sarah Haworth Collins
Sister of George
Little is known of Sarah Haworth. She was born about 1668 at Rockcliffe,
Lancashire, and married Isaac Collins about 1886. Isaac was born at Saunders
Gate, Todmorden, about 1660. The dates and places of death for Sarah and Isaac
are not known, but we know from George’s letters that both were living in
England in 1722. Their only known son John Collins, along with his cousin James
Shaw, was named one of the heirs in James Haworth’s lease of the Hapton Hall
estate in 1705. John Collins married Ellen
Hitchen and they had at least one son, also named John.
