Susanna Haworth Shaw

Little is known of Susanna/Susannah Haworth. She was born about 1672 in
Rockcliffe, Parish of Rochdale, Lancashire, England. Her date and place of death
are not known, but from George’s letters she was still living in England in
1722. Susanna married John Wood about 1690. John was born about 1667 and died
about 1691. She then married a Mr. Shaw about 1692 and they had at least two
sons, James, and Jonathan. Nothing is known of Jonathan Shaw. James
Shaw, along with his cousin John Collins, was named one of the heirs in James
Haworth’s lease of the Hapton Hall estate in 1705. Nothing further is known of
James Shaw.
