Editor's Note:  I was given a copy of this 116 page book in 1998 by the daughter of the author, Betty Lilienthal, Los Alamos NM.  (Betty, her son, and grandson all attended the 300 year reunion celebration).  After the book was published, many new facts have surfaced about our family history.  As such, there are a number of errors in this text.  Recently (spring of 2012) we obtained a digital copy of the text.  We have not, however, posted and linked the digital text on our web page, since each of the errors should be identified and footnoted.  This text, however, was an important document, in its time period
