"Some Quaker Families - Scarborough/Haworth"

Collated by Roger Boone, Published by Marjorie Morgan

Editor's Note:  Roger Boone has passed away.  Marjorie Morgan is alive and doing well.

Roger S. Boone of Springfield, Ohio, spent over ten years researching and collating the Scarbrough/Haworth families.

Mrs. Marjorie B. Morgan's background was Quaker. She was raised on a farm in a small southwestern Kansas community. She was a graduate of Friends University, Wichita, KS. and Kansas State University, Emporia, KS.  In 1986, she retired early from the Wichita Public Schools, making it possible to pursue personal interests -- especially genealogy. She had been doing research for over 35 years, and was the former editor of the quarterly magazine for the Mid-west Genealogical Society.

Roger had asked Marjorie Morgan to prepare his data for publication, with the following goals:

1. to provide an opportunity for family members to up-date their family information for publication,

2. to collect photos and documents relevant to the Scarborough/Haworth family,

3. to publish a quarterly newsletter, and

4. to prepare and publish the story of the Scarborough/Haworth family.

The results are 7 volumes, 4,401 pages of data, photos, stories, and documents.

"These handsome volumes are very expensive to produce and a joy to possess.  Not the usual, how to, genealogy fare, but filled with family information, facts and data.  They are interactive and I recommend owning the complete set.

Edith Scarbrough, widow of Lowell has a few volumes remaining, but no complete sets.  Her address is 32013 Barclay Loop, Warsaw MO. 65355
