KOREAN  WAR

 

Cpl Leonard E Hayworth, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division.  b. February 3, 1928 in Indiana,  KIA September 24, 1950 near Seoul, which would have been shortly after the landing at Inchon.

 

Sgt Perry R Haworth, 24th Infantry Army Division,  b. May 19, 1922, died of wounds November 5, 1950 at Chongchon River. Received the Bronze Star.

 

Sgt Wilbur A Haworth, Heavy Mortar Company, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.  b. 1928, Portland Oregon MIA November 30, 1950 at the Chosin Reservoir located in North Korea and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953.

There were three (3) other Haworth's who were in the Army that were war casualties however were non life threatening;

 

Cpl Harold D Haworth, from Monterey California, wounded in South Korea February 1951.

 

Pfc John T Haworth, from Putman Indiana, wounded in South Korea August 1950.

 

Pvt Kenneth L Haworth, from Wayne County Michigan, wounded in North Korea Sector July 1953.
